How we met:
Becky was new to Calgary and didn't know too many people. Blaine grew up in Calgary, knew everyone. Blaine was scouting out the talent on Plenty of fish, and come across Becky. Shortly after that, they had their first date at The Wildwood Pub downtown Calgary, and you know the rest...

Blaine:
Likes: longboarding, mixed martial arts, zombies, Bruce Lee, videography, things made of wood, talking to strangers, laughing until I cry (usually at my friend's expense), fun hats, being awesome

Dislikes: rude people, cold toilet seats, stale M&M's, not getting what I want, having to pay bills, dry skin

Becky
Likes: coconut, forensics, interior decorating, feathers, the beach, cinnamon buns, scarves, when Blaine's socks match

Dislikes: birds, winter driving, moustaches, loud TVs, chaos, chewing tobacco, fantasy (books, movies), dr. pepper

The Proposal -  

It was October 22, 2011. The day started like a normal Saturday. Blaine went to work and I went to yoga. Then I got ready and my friend Amy picked me up to go to meet a client of hers in Lethbridge. Her boyfriend, Brendan was with us but he explained that we were dropping him off in Lethbridge to party with a friend. Sounded good to me! So, on the drive Amy started to prep me for the marketing meeting. Everything seemed normal, Amy had a blazer hanging in the back and everything! On the drive I pointed out the windmills and how Blaine and I drove down there 3 years ago (he loves windmills), and I even took a pic and sent it to him! About 1.5 hours into the drive Brendan asked Amy to pull over cause he had to pee. Amy was hesitant to stop as we were late, but she did anyways. She pulled onto a side road and that's when I saw Blaine. He was all dressed up with a huge smile on his face. He had placed a bistro set with wine and crave cupcakes amongst a beautiful backdrop of windmills! He even had flowers in a vintage coke bottle and a plaid table cloth but it was too windy, so they had to stay in car. We chatted for a while, and then he got down on one knee and popped the question. Clearly, I said yes!!!!! Such a perfect proposal followed by a romantic evening in Banff! We couldn't be happier!!!!!!
